Forestry Workshop and Networking Opportunity
You and your neighbors are invited to a forest management workshop in Boulder county. This event is sponsored by the Colorado State Forest Service, Colorado Forestry Association and the Colorado Tree Farmers.
Come see how active management of your woods can reduce the damage caused by wildfire and insect infestation. Network with your neighbors to more effectively address these landscape sized threats to the health and sustainability of our forests.
Join us at the Carpenter Mountain Forest in Pinecliffe on Saturday, June 16th from 10am to 3pm. Bring your neighbor. There is no charge to participate but there will be a potluck lunch so please bring a dish to share.
By working together, we can make a difference. We'll show you how. We're your neighbors. We're just down the road behind the green and white sign. We're Colorado Tree Farmers.

Pagosa Biomass Project
from the San Juan Tree Farmers
A rural inter-mountain west community is one step closer to healthy forests, being preemptive to beetle attacks and producing renewable energy.
Renewable Forest Energy, LLC will gasify biomass procured from local forest management contracts. The gasification technology will turn the biomass into 5MWe of electricity. This amount of electricity will provide over 30% of the community’s electrical needs.

Potential Product Oulet for local groups

from Larimer County Tree Farmers
I'm looking for poderosa pine and/or doug fir. 8"-9" tops and up to 17"-18" butt end. 8'-16' lenghts w/ min. 3" overtrim. As for grade I don't think I've found anyone to pull grade and it seems you just get what you get with the pondo and cut the best out of it you can. I'm selling my product as a mill run but I do seperate for higher grades for millwork applications and also seperating for lower pallet grade items.
I am looking for about 4 cords a week. Sometimes more sometimes less depending on the orders. I would prefer to have logs delivered but I am not opposed to picking up. I have a 1 ton crewcab pickup and a 20' triple axle flatbed trailer with log bunks.
If I pick up I need some one with a skid steer or self loader to load me. Also because of my truck and trailer length (almost 40') I don't like to get to far off the road or I do start to get into trouble with turning/backing issues.
Any help again will be a big help.
